Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know—Before You Build
Services & Capabilities
What types of projects does AmertaCorona specialise in?
AmertaCorona focuses on corporate workplaces and commercial interiors. Our services bring together office interior design, fit-out, renovation, MEP engineering, project management and custom furniture manufacturing. The scope and responsibilities are agreed for each project.
Do you provide both design and construction?
Yes. AmertaCorona provides interior design and construction services, with engineering and furniture coordinated where included in the engagement. The proposal should identify the design deliverables, construction scope, specifications and exclusions so that the complete package is clear.
Can you work with existing architectural plans?
Share your existing drawings and specifications for review. The next step is to establish their completeness, the required construction scope, any engineering coordination and who is responsible for design revisions and approvals. These requirements determine the appropriate engagement.
Do you manufacture custom office furniture?
Yes. AmertaCorona has in-house furniture production for workstations, tables, storage, cabinetry and built-in furniture. Furniture requirements can form part of an integrated fit-out or a separate scope, with dimensions, materials, finishes, quantities and installation requirements agreed before production.
Process & Collaboration
What does the design and construction process look like?
The process starts with your brief and the available site information, followed by the agreed design and documentation stages, approvals, procurement, construction and handover. The sequence, deliverables and approval responsibilities depend on whether the engagement covers design, construction or an integrated package.
How long does an office fit-out take?
There is no single duration for every office. Floor area, scope, existing conditions, design approvals, procurement, fabrication, working hours and building access all affect the programme. Share your target move-in date early so that the project requirements and scheduling assumptions can be reviewed.
How is the office fit-out budget controlled?
Cost control starts with an agreed scope, drawings, specifications and clear inclusions and exclusions. Quotations should be compared on the same basis. Later changes should be assessed for cost and schedule implications and approved through the agreed process before the revised work proceeds.
Can I make changes during the project?
Changes can be discussed, but their feasibility depends on the stage of design, procurement and construction. A proposed change needs review for its effect on the specification, cost and completion date. Record the decision and the required approvals before revised work is instructed.
Sustainability & Innovation
How can sustainability be considered in an office fit-out?
The brief can consider reuse of suitable furniture, material specifications, maintenance requirements and coordination of workplace engineering systems. The appropriate measures depend on the site, budget and agreed scope. Environmental claims and performance targets should be supported by project-specific evidence.
Does a sustainability-focused design mean the project is certified?
No. A sustainability-focused design is not the same as formal certification. Any certification target must be explicitly included in the brief, with the applicable assessment process, specialist responsibilities and documentation requirements identified. Certification should not be assumed from design features or marketing language.
Can existing office furniture be reused?
Existing furniture can be assessed for reuse based on its condition, dimensions and suitability for the proposed layout. Identify retained assets at the briefing stage so that any modification, relocation or installation requirements can be considered before replacement furniture is specified.
Do sustainable features increase project costs?
The cost depends on the option being assessed. Compare initial expenditure, maintenance, replacement needs and any documented operating assumptions. Reuse and new products should each be evaluated against the project requirements; a sustainability label alone does not establish a saving or a higher price.
Project Management & Delivery
Who will manage my project day-to-day?
Project roles, the primary contact and reporting arrangements are agreed for the engagement. Coordination needs to identify the responsibilities of the client, design team, site team, building management and any separate specialist suppliers, together with who can approve decisions and changes.
How do you handle quality control?
Quality control is based on the agreed drawings and specifications, material approvals, site inspections and relevant testing. The project scope should define the required checks, responsible parties, defect tracking and handover deliverables. Work that will later be concealed needs review at the appropriate stage.
What happens if there are delays?
A delay needs review of its cause, the affected activities and available options. The project team should communicate the implications, document the agreed response and update milestones where necessary. Responsibilities and any changes to the completion date are governed by the project agreement.
Do you offer post-construction support?
Handover requirements, defect rectification, warranties and any maintenance support should be set out in the project agreement. Coverage and response arrangements depend on that scope and any applicable manufacturer terms. Confirm these responsibilities before starting the project rather than assuming unlimited ongoing support.
